The Rekon 5 is based on the original Dave_C FPV mini 5″ design. This 5-inch drone is a compact long range concept frame that allows for increased payload capacity. Similar to its 4-inch counterpart, the Rekon 5 can achieve a flight time of approximately 25 minutes. This drone is efficient, quiet, and offers a more cost-effective solution compared to the common 7-inch drones used for long range flights. The main advantage of the 5-inch drone is its ability to carry a full size GoPro and 18650 lithium batteries without sacrificing performance or increasing noise. Additionally, the cruising speed is increased, and the Freestyle capabilities are significantly improved. A wide range of batteries can be used with this drone, including 4S 850-1800mAh, 6S 550-1300mAh, and 18650 to 3000mAh for extended flight time.
